Canary Wharf Summer Season
This season is very much one of the highlights of our year- there can’t be many better perks of a job than being out in Canada Square Park with some of the best musicians available.
We’ve been involved with Canary Wharf Arts & Events team for many years now and were of course delighted to be part of the summer season again this year.
The process is becoming ever more smooth as we fine tune the systems with other services and for once the weather was kind which made the whole thing much more civilised.
The programme is as varied as ever, from live screenings of the Royal Opera House to the BBC big band and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. As we can’t make noise in the Park before 1730 soundchecks are always interesting and we have got used to planning our days to accommodate the very limited time we have run the systems during rehearsals.
We’ve also been involved on the Estate at Wood Wharf, providing a background music system throughout the park for six months of the year along with screen systems for specific events such as the Tour De France.
Theatre is playing an increasing part of our work too- what started as a small amount of reinforcement for street theatre performances has developed into something more. We now deliver sound to increasingly large audiences for performances in Jubilee Park from comedy to Shakespeare.
